Welcome to SideGPT! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access and use of the SideGPT browser extension, our associated services, and our website at https://sidegpt.app, collectively referred to as the "Service" or "SideGPT," which is owned and operated by Jicai, Inc.

By installing or using SideGPT, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. General Use

You may use SideGPT for personal or professional purposes in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms. You may not use SideGPT for any unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purpose, including violating the terms of service of third-party AI providers you connect to through our platform (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Anthropic).

2. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others;
• Use scripts, bots, or automation in a way that violates platform rules;
• Transmit harmful or illegal content;
• Bypass access controls or security measures.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to the prompts you enter and the content generated through your own API keys. You are solely responsible for the legality and intellectual property rights of any content you generate, submit, or share using SideGPT.

4. Data Collection and Use

We collect limited data for essential functionality:

• If you use cloud sync features, SideGPT may store your preferences, prompt templates, and platform settings in Google Firebase.
• Your API keys are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted unless syncing is explicitly enabled.

5. Third-Party Services

SideGPT integrates third-party AI APIs and services. You are responsible for complying with their respective terms of service, including any content or usage restrictions imposed by OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or others.

6. Intellectual Property

All SideGPT source code, branding, and UI/UX design are owned by Jicai, Inc. You may not reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service without express written permission.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to SideGPT at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or abuse the Service.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

SideGPT is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties of any kind—express or implied—regarding the Service, including its reliability, security, or accuracy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jicai, Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of SideGPT, including but not limited to loss of data, content, productivity, or revenue.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jicai, Inc., its affiliates, and its employees from any claim, demand, or damage related to your use of SideGPT or your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

11. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
